Your choice comes first
SmartnCV does not create an analytics visitor identifier or send optional page-view and builder events until you actively select Accept analytics. Rejecting analytics does not restrict the CV checker, CV builder or results. No consent option is pre-selected.
Strictly necessary technology
The hosting and security service may use essential session or security technology when it is needed to deliver the website, prevent abuse or support an authenticated area. Essential technology is not used to build an advertising profile.
CV builder browser storage
The builder uses local browser storage, not an advertising cookie, to keep your draft, chosen template and colour on your device. This makes the draft available when you return using the same browser.
You can remove it by selecting Start a new CV in the builder or by clearing SmartnCV's website data in your browser settings.
Optional analytics cookies
- smartncv_analytics_consent: remembers your accept or reject choice and the wording version for up to 12 months.
- smartncv_visitor: a random server-issued token used only after consent to count a browser across visits; expires within 12 months.
- smartncv_session: a random short-lived token used to group page activity into a visit; expires after 30 minutes.
These cookies are first-party, Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax. SmartnCV stores only keyed HMAC-derived values, not the raw visitor or session token.
What analytics records
After consent, SmartnCV can record a general page path, builder session start, completed builder draft, PDF export action and product-analysis event together with time, source, approximate country for page views, consent version and a pseudonymous key. It never places CV content, job descriptions, filenames, names, email addresses or full IP addresses in analytics and does not use browser fingerprinting.
Guest analysis and the counter
The completed-check counter is stored as one aggregate total on SmartnCV's server and does not identify individual users. Uploaded guest files are discarded after analysis. Limited server-side operational records may be needed for security and reliability, but rejected or absent analytics consent is never presented as an accurately tracked unique visitor.
Change or withdraw your choice
Select the permanent Cookie settings control on any public page. Withdrawing consent clears the visitor and session cookies and stops future optional analytics. Analytics events are retained for no longer than 24 months, while aggregate evidence exports may be retained as a service-history record.
